A 50,000 m³ LNG storage tank surrounded by a reinforced concrete bund wall providing secondary containment.

  • SCOPE OF WORK

    ISLE OF GRAIN

    • Design and operational solution for the replacement of the existing restrainment system to the outside of the bund wall.
    • Design of special anchors.
    • Safe detensioning of existing wire from the bund wall using a post-tensioned assisted strap restrainment system.
    • Removal of existing wire system.
    • Concrete repair and protection of horizontal rebates.
    • Installation of 20 unbonded PT strands with UTS of 279 kN, in hdpe sheaths, per recess.
    • Installation and stressing of special anchors on each band of strands to resist concentrated forces for the height of the bund wall.
    • Application of weatherproof coating.
